The Sensor! Super sensitive with instant reactions, this sensor is a new breed!
We tested every sensor on the market to find nothing but terrible, half hearted results. They were all slow, un-responsive and inaccurate.
They had high thermal insulating properties, retaining temperature for a long time before & after changes in the grow room air temperature. They absorbed high amounts of infrared radiation from lights, converting it to heat. We found this to be a problem across the board as they all read the surface temperature of the probe, not the air temperature!
This gave us no option but to create our own. A new breed of sensor built for purpose. A sensor that won’t hold back the performance of the controller. We needed speed, accuracy and precise performance like no other…
So we did it and did it first! We created the first digital Air temperature, relative humidity & light sensor, able to read and send data faster and more accurately than all its predecessors. On top of this it has the lowest tendency to absorb and retain heat and infrared radiation and the cable is shielded to protect against RF interference.
Now Equipped with a sensor better than ever, we can unleash the full potential of the controller, achieving unparalleled results. We have the ability to sense & control like no controller has before and we’re just getting started…

Backlit LCD Screen allows clear viewing whatever the light level!
The green light colour has been chosen to reduce light polution at night, reducing stress on plants. All front panel lights can be turned off easily in the display menu at any time.
Displays current temperature and humidity, set temperature, current intake/exhaust fan speed percentage and day / night period.

The LED indicator panel displays fan speed, parameter changes and warning lights. These are easily visible from anywhere in the room and can be turned off in the menu at any time.
FAN SPEED INDICATOR: Flasing LED changes frequency according to fan speed percentage.
PARAMETER ADJUST: Will light up when the unit senses a change in environment. This is typically followed by an adjustment in fan speed.
WARNING LIGHT: Can flash various warning messages indicating problems with fans, sensors or temperatures outside set parameters.

Twin AC Sockets allow control of AC fans. These include typical industry inline fans, RVKs, TT Fans & Box Fans.
Twin EC ports allow flawless data transfer to any EC fan with 3-Pin cable. The unit works with many EC fans and if not directly compatible, adaptors are available for most fan types.
AC & EC ports can be used in any configuration, whether one at a time, in combination or all at once.

Single handedly navigate the simple to use menu with the control dial. One dial allows full control of all features, from setting target parameters to viewing min/max temp & humidity.

No need for an additional Min/Max thermometer in your room, the MULTIFAN controller records this data for you. Simply press and hold the menu control dial to display these values. Re-set by holding the dial again.

Balance like never before…
The built in balancer allows you to regulate the difference between your intake and exhaust fans. This gives the ability to control ‘negative pressure’ and ‘air exchange rate’ in the grow room. Negative pressure ensures that air will only escape via the exhaust fan & filter preventing unwanted smells leaking from the room.
Achieve optimum air exchange rates by keeping intake and exhaust fan speeds close together. Maintaining the correct amount of negative pressure reduces fan workload, improves efficiency and reduces running costs!
Operate in real time with the simple on screen slider. Adjust the balancer in conjunction with the work modes to achieve an optimum airflow like never before.

This will set the lowest speed your fans will drop to, preventing fans from running excessively slow.
As the fan speed reduces, the fans will only drop as low as the ‘set minimum fan speed’.
This prevents fans hitting such a low speed that grow room air stagnates. There will always be fresh air moving through the room and replenishing CO2 etc.

Optional via the menu, but when turned on will give you the ability to set a desired humidity in the day and night settings. The Humidity Assist will pulse the current fan speed, raising it by 20% before returning to current speed. This purges damp grow room air without affecting temperature.
This feature can be used alongside humidifiers or to protect carbon filters from the effects of high humidity (giving a longer life span for your filter).
Work Modes for every scenario…
Our vast experience using other controllers on the market led us to realise one major problem. They require the user to know the airflow of both their intake and exhaust fans.
This means calculating ducting lengths, ducting bends and filters to achieve correct airflow and maintain negative pressure. Other companies suggest having a larger exhaust fan over intake fan. This is a good starting point but can still be inaccurate and problematic.
Most fans have standard sizes (4″/ 6″/ 10″ etc) but the airflow of each can vary depending on brand. In most cases the ‘simple’ work mode will be more appropriate for regular fan set ups, where the exhaust fan is more powerful that the intake. Setting linear work modes allows for irregular fan set ups to be used. Experimenting along side the balancer allows for further fine tuning.
Our proprietary algorithms will do the work, so you don’t have to…
Set your desired temp / humidity for day time (lights on) and night time (lights off) and sit back and let the Multifan go to work! No need to set the time or fiddle with timers, the light sensor does that for you.
When transitioning between day and night mode, the software activates the cool down process. This ensures a smooth 1 hour natural transition from day temperatures to night temperatures.

Warning lights display to the user if the grow room has been out of the set parameters for longer than 30 mins. A solid red light is displayed, and can indicate problems with grow room ventilation or excessive heat, as well as sensor problems. In the case of a failed or damaged sensor, a flashing light will be displayed. In this event the Multifan has a fail-safe! (More Below)

From the day you start your controller, it is collecting data, day and night. This data is used in the case that the unit detects a sensor issue, and will select the average fan speed until the user is present and any sensor issue is resolved. This means fans will not act erratically if there is a problem with the sensor. In the event of power cut, all data is stored and retrieved on power up.

Twin A/C plugs are rated IP54 when closed, meaning low risk of damage if splashed by liquids.
This improves safety when A/C plugs are inactive. For example when using an AC intake with EC exhaust you are not left with an exposed plug, maintaining a safer grow room!
Twin E/C ports allow flawless data transfer to any E/C fan with 3-Pin cable.
The unit connects to a 3-pin data cable and works with many fans. If not compatible, adaptors are available for most fan types.
Mounting brackets included are easy to fix, and provide four fixing points to be mounted to a wall or hung in place.
Complies with all UK and EU regulations to keep your grow room safe.
